Hell Michigan, February 7, 2011
On January 28, 2011, the most prestigious awards in the spicy food industry were distributed at the Fiery Food Challenge Awards dinner in Irving, Texas, and Smitty’s Sauces & Seasonings From Hell Michigan came out on top! Smitty’s Bloody Caesar Cocktail Mix took home three 1st Place & one 3rd Place Awards. Our Products are not spicy hot; we are dedicated to flavor rather than heat. We do have a sinfully good Spicy Habanero Bloody Caesar Mix, which has a kick that creeps up on you slowly.

The Fiery Food Challenge, a competition sponsored by The Dallas Morning News, puts products against one another in more than 100 categories. Professional judges evaluate hundreds of sauces, salsas and other spicy treats and award first, second and third place prizes in each category. Awards are proudly displayed at ZestFest, a spicy, zesty and flavorful food event held the same week as the Fiery Food Challenge at the brand new Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.

Smitty’s Sauces & Seasonings From Hell Michigan has now won Six National Awards. In the 2011 Scovie Awards Smitty’s took 1st Place with our Bloody Caesar Cocktail Mix (Medium) and 2cnd Place with our Bloody Caesar Cocktail Mix (Habanero).

Mike Hickey the President of Smitty’s Sauces & Seasonings said “It’s a privilege to be ranked #1 nationally; we are devoted to reaching our goal of being available locally to everyone, no matter where you are!”
